| On 6/10/09 I visited the McDonalds at 2350 Cheshire Bridge Rd, Atlanta, 30324 after I had left a pet at the vetrinarian's office nearby. I ordered the coffee from the DOLLAR MENUE which prominately posted in my direct line of sight. The cashier rang the coffee at $1.19 plus tax. I pointed out that the MENU BOARD advertised it for $1.00. She told me that had been changed long ago and REFUSED to honor the posted price. I told her to look at the board and she refused the posted price of $1.00. Then I asked to see the manager, who also informed that the $1.00 price was no longer being honored even though the menu board was posted. When I told the manager that either she honors the posted price OR I WOULD LEAVE AND TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, she then instructed the clerk to honor the posted price. The item would not ring up at $1.00 in the resister, so the clerk rang up a $1.00 Sm DR. PEPPER and handed me the coffee. I will never go to that McDonald's ERER AGAIN! ! ! The receipt information on the receipt is : 68 KS#03 June 10'09 (Wed) 09:03: Store 20639. I do believe that your store was in violation of ther laws regarding posted prices being honored. I am also reporting this incident to the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs. I shouldn't have had to argue the price ! ! Fifteen cents is not going to bankrupt me, but the principal of the matter is that over the course of a day, how many extra .15 is added to an unsuspecting customer's bill ? The price hadn't been changed by the time I left. When I went to the counter to get a refill, the attendants left the area to avoid serving me another cup. I received stares and condemning glances from the staff. I felt very unwelcome. I wonder what the Federal Trade Commission would say about your practices of FALSE ADVERTISING ! ! ! I really don't care if I ever hear from anyone at your company, as your people have alienated me as a customer. But, if you wish to apologize, my email is howdow@bellsouth.net. Regards, ED DOWLEN |

| I visited your Marietta location on 7/06/09 and waited about 18 minutes for an egg muffin. I realize that some mornings are busy and there may be delays. My complaint has to do with the fact that even after I was asked to pull out of the drive-thru line, I was given the wrong item. Once again, there will be occasional mistakes but this location seems to have a problem with preparing a muffin with a folded egg! How difficult can that be? Oh, yes, one has to be able to read. When I've inquired about the continued wrong order, I was told on one occasion that only a couple of people there spoke English. Hmmmm, how did those people get hired? In every case, the order was submitted correctly, but the folks preparing the orders just weren't reading the orders correctly. I have called one of your offices directly and will do so again. I think more people have had similar problems but do nothing about and so the mediocrity continues. Seems like a small, insignificant error but it's more than frustrating when it continues to happen. The loss of my business will not mean much to this office or to the individual restaurant. People do have a choice and I will do whatever I can to let others know that this Marietta restaurant at 1015 S. Cobb Drive has poor and an even poorer attitude from the staff. And oh by the way, the receipt lists the city as Marrietta, GA. Another example of mediocrity at its best - you guys can't even spell the name of your location! |
